Some Causes to Bleeding Gums
There can be a few reason why you may have bleeding gums. Below are a few of them that are common causes.
1) Gingivitis/Gum Disease: Gingivitis is an inflammation of the gums. Gingivitis/Gum Disease commonly occurs because a film of plaque, or bacteria, accumulates on the teeth. Gingivitis is a non-destructive type of periodontal disease
2) Just too Hard: Brushing too hard or your toothbrush is not soft enough can cause your gums to bleed.
3) Flossing: You started a flossing routine that your gums are not used to it yet or y our flossing wrong.
4) Meds: Certain medications, like blood thinners can cause your gums to bleed.
5) Pregnancy: Inflamed gums due to being pregnant often refer to as pregnancy gingivitis
6) Dentures: Ill-fitting dentures can cause your gums to bleed.
Whenever you are noticing bleeding gums for a period of time you should visit your dentist. Bleeding gums is not something that should be ignored.
